China Dysprosium Oxide Price - September 14, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: terbium oxide, dysprosium oxide and praseodymium neodymium metal prices continue to decline in the week began on Monday September 14, 2020 in the quiet market.

Negative factors: Downstream demand is difficult to pick up, which is the main reason for the slight decline in the price of rare earths. In addition, rare earth smelting companies have released more production capacity, and the confidence of holders has been significantly reduced. In order to make profits and stop losses, some traders make reasonable profits for more shipments

Favorable factors: First, rare earth reserves are expected to be included in the "14th Five-Year Plan", which is a source of confidence for mainstream mining companies; second, supported by production costs, due to high mining costs in the early stage, suppliers generally do not reduce prices too much with reasonable price adjustment to avoid risk of price inversion.

Recently, the General Administration of Customs released the "August 2020 National Export Key Commodities Value Table". In rare earth related fields: China's rare earth exports in August 2020 were 1,641.6 tons, down 62.3% from the same period last year; China's rare earth exports in August 2020 amounted to 170 million yuan; China's rare earth exports from January to August 2020 were 24,377.4 tons, a decrease of 25.7% over the same period last year; China's rare earth exports from January to August 2020 were 1.65 billion yuan, a decrease of 24.5% over the same period last year.
