Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

The tungsten concentrate and ammonium paratungstate (APT) prices start to show signs of rise after the stabilization in the previous stage in sluggish spot conditions.

Tungsten concentrate price remained firmly above 82,000 yuan ($12,058.8) per tonne amid tight spot supply. Cargo holders continued to refrain from selling the material with the recovery in the back-end infrastructure and automobile industries, and supported by environmental protection and high production cost. But transactions are hardly concluded at the level.

In Europe, pices fell by nearly 5% for both grades with suppliers cutting offer prices and doing deals well below the previous range. During the week, there were slightly more bids reported from traders in comparison with the very quiet previous months, while producers showed no resistance to low prices in a bid to destock. Spot activity improves from last month.
