Terbium Oxide Prices - May 26, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: the latest of dysprosium oxide, europium oxide and terbium oxide prices are unchanged from the previous trading day despite of tight supply of raw materials and favorable policies. Sellers still take a watchful stance, resulting in the difficulty in price rise. 

The light rare earth market is on the sidelines on the whole. Against the background of the profitability of the Two Sessions and the insufficient supply of raw materials, the bidders' price hikes are still struggling, and they face a large risk of upside down, mainly due to demand fatigue; the outlook for the medium-heavy rare earth market is improving. Under the influence of the recent increase in purchasing and storage expectations, the gradual return of production of downstream magnetic materials companies and the limited supply of overseas imports, the prices of mainstream products are expected to rise strongly, but the actual increase is small because consumers have obvious resistance to high-priced resources.
