Tungsten Trioxide Applied for Dining Room Heat Insulating Glass Coating

Tungsten trioxide, mainly tungsten trioxide nanopowder, is often applied for producing dining room heat insulating glass coating. That is because the tungsten trioxide nano particles has excellent shielding effect on near-infrared rays that are not visible to the naked eye. In particular, the infrared shielding rate in the 1000nm band is greater than 90% and the visible light transmittance is greater than 70%.

With the popularization of tungsten oxide heat shielding material, tungsten oxide also receives more attention, from synthesis to application. In this regard, the experts introduced a preparation of tungsten trioxide nano particles. They synthesized the tungsten oxide nanoparticles with controllable particle size and structure by a reverse microemulsion-mediated method. The nanoparticles were characterized by transmission electron microcopy, X-ray diffraction, and thermal analysis. Synthesis conditions, including water-to-surfactant ratio, annealing temperature, water-to-alkoxide ratio, and drying method, have been shown to be critical in controlling the size and structure of tungsten oxide nanoparticles. Using the same synthesis technique, tungsten oxide dispersion can also be prepared. The ultrafine nanoparticles prepared by this synthesis method may also find interesting applications in various fields such as catalysis, electronics, illumination, gas sensors, and so forth.
