In existing smart coatings, cesium tungsten bronze CsxWO3 coating plays an important role in shielding most of near-infrared (NIR) light and holding high visible (Vis) light transparency, while acts as a barrier to shield harmful ultraviolet light. Furthermore, the heat-shielding property of CsxWO3 coating film is evaluated and compared with that of ITO glass to find out the optimal ratio of CsxWO3. And it was found that CsxWO3 coating film has better heat insulation performance than ITO glass. Therefore, it is believed that cesium tungsten bronze is a promising candidate for near-infrared shielding materials on glass windows of buildings.
