Yellow tungsten oxide, or tungsten trioxide, may be prepared into an electrochromic film, and then be used to produce a smart glass - a new energy-saving material. In addition, experts have found that tungsten oxide films deposited on low temperature (<200°C) substrates have smaller particles. Their components tend to deviate from standard stoichiometry, and their molecular formula is approximately WO2.75, facilitating the injection of ions and electrons. The thin film is likely to be composed of clusters of hexagonal atoms, and there is also a cylindrical structure consisting of a ring structure of six WO6 octahedrons occupying the angle. This structure forms a fast transport channel for Li ions in the space between the clusters.
