In order to study the electrochromic properties of tungsten oxide (WO3-X), some experts have prepared crystalline and amorphous tungsten oxide. Due to different crystalline degree, the two kinds of tungsten oxides have great differences in performance, that is, they have their own advantages and disadvantages. Wherein, the amorphous tungsten oxide has high coloring efficiency so that it can perform color conversion quickly under certain conditions. However, its structure is loose, resulting in poor chemical stability, so the cycle life is short, which is not conducive to large-scale market applications. The crystalline tungsten oxide film has a relatively dense crystal structure, has good chemical stability and a long cycle life, but correspondingly, its coloring efficiency is poor and the electrochromic response time is relatively long. This is exactly the opposite of amorphous tungsten oxide.
