When it comes to electrochromic material, experts have introduced that element doping is one of the ways to improve the electrochromic properties of tungsten oxide electrochromic film. For the doping of tungsten oxide, most of the commonly used elements are metal elements that are less electronegative or less oxidizing. Doping different elements can change the electrochromic properties of tungsten oxide films to varying degrees. For example, doping Si increases the coloring efficiency and ion diffusion coefficient of the film; doping V enhances color neutrality; and doping Sb and Nb increases the charge storage capacity and accelerates the color change response time.
