Rare earth market quotation in China: terbium oxide, dysprosium oxide and praseodymium neodymium metal prices continue to rise on January 18, 2020.

Under the continuous spread of epidemic all over the world, tighter Sino-U.S. relations and greater geopolitical risks in various countries, the spot supply of some rare earth products is tight. Therefore, holders are reluctant to sell and expect price increases. Although magnetic materials companies use a large amount of rare earth permanent magnetic materials, they are also afraid of high prices and maintain on-demand procurement.

According to customs data, China's rare earth exports in December 2020 were 4167.5 tons, an increase of 59.61% month-on-month and an increase of 13.95% year-on-year; the export value was US$39.2 million, an increase of 39.5% year-on-year. From January to December 2020, the cumulative export volume of rare earths was 3,5447.5 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 23.5%; the cumulative export value was USD 343.9 million, a year-on-year decrease of 21.9%.
