Chinese Rare Earth Prices - March 9, 2020

Chinese rare earth prices still maintain a slight adjustment in the first trading day in the week began on March 9, 2020 as market deals are hardly concluded due to cautious sentiment of market participants.

On the one hand, in the context of the relatively slow economic development of the country, the slowdown of the new energy manufacturing industry, and the calming of policies, the consumption capacity of downstream magnetic materials companies is generally inadequate, the frequency of inquiries on the market is relatively low, and the total number of transactions is relatively small. On the other hand, most of holders have a strong mentality supported by the cost of raw materials, and their willingness to reduce prices is not high. There is less room for price adjustments for some products, which has hindered transactions.
