Tungsten oxide nanoparticles for building glass energy saving coating can be prepared by solvothermal method. For example, experts adopted this method to prepare nano particle size tungsten oxide to study the effect of solution concentration on the morphology of nano tungsten oxide when isopropanol was used as the alcohol solvent. Wherein, the reaction temperature was 180°C and the reaction time was 12h. The figure below shows the SEM image of tungsten oxide nanopowder at different solution concentrations.

Tungsten oxide nanoparticles for infrared ultraviolet shielding material can be obtained by a solvothermal method using ethanol as an alcohol solvent, a molar concentration of 15mM, a reaction time of 24h at different temperatures (160°C, 180°C, and 200°C). SEM of tungsten oxide nano particles at different temperatures using ethanol as alcohol solvent is shown below.
