The raw materials of tungsten alloy dart is a kind of very dense material, which is not easy to melt or shape. It’s usually ground into fine powder, then mixed with other kinds of metals as the binder. In the production of tungsten alloy dart, the most commonly used mixtures contain nickel, smaller amounts of copper and iron compounds. The mixture is heated and compressed to a solid billet or tungsten rod, and then processed into a dart barrel. 

 

Tungsten alloy dart that processed by special craft has heavy weight, high density, good aerodynamic effect, and small volume, which can increase the possibility of throwing darts into the same partition. 

 

For people who often play darts, the durability of darts is also very important. As tungsten has wear-resisting property, its surface is not easy to wear. However, tungsten content is not the higher the better. The higher the content is, the more brittle the dart is, which could be easily broken when it falls on the hard surface. Therefore, professional players often choose to use 90% of tungsten hard darts. In addition, the wear and corrosion resistance of the tungsten alloy dart make it is not easily affected by sweat, and it’s durable. Tungsten alloy dart has become the most often used dart.
