Tungsten Scheelite Flotation Equipment - Eddy-flow Micro-Bubble Flotation Column

Flotation column is a new type of tungsten scheelite flotation equipment, it has a simple structure, small footprint, low cost, high degree of automation, low infrastructure investment, good flotation index and many other advantages, and gradually become mainstream in tungsten ore flotation.

Eddy-flow micro-bubble flotation column is a newly invented tungsten scheelite flotation equipment, it has simple structure, high separation efficiency, low energy consuming and short construction period, it has incomparable advantages when dealing with fine particle.

Eddy-flow micro-bubble flotation column is consisted of spiral part and flotation part, flotation part can be divided into capture zone and selected zone. Foam generator locates at the outside of column, connects with spiral part.

The working principle is combination of gravity separation principle and flotation principle, using jet principle to generate bubble, realize separation in reverse flowing. When it is working, flotation column uses recycle mineral slurry to add pressure and spray, bubble generator draws air and foaming agent, which will mix and crush bubble, release a lot of micro bubble by pressure. Micro bubble will enter spiral part, under centrifugal force and flowing force, it move to center of spiral with flocculation, and enters flotation column. Tailings will enter tailing tube by centrifugal force to realize separation. During separation process, main function of spiral part is scavenging, recycle mineral grain.

This flotation column has been applied in a polymetallic mine in Hunan, China. The mine adopts the combination of flotation machine, using SF + JJF combined machine mixer for a rough selection, one selection and one scavenging. The obtained white tungsten concentrate was re-introduced into the cyclone micro-bubble flotation column for the second selection, from WO3 0.35% of the multi-metal tailings obtained WO3 10.8 % coarse tungsten concentrate, achieved 63% recovery rate, increased by 10% than the use of flotation column of the old process, annual income increased by more than 30 million.
