Attenuation Coefficient and Thickness of Tungsten Shield

High purity tungsten is soft texture, the project is usually mixed with Ni, C and other elements to replace pure tungsten, tungsten alloy is heavy alloy, it inherits the characteristics of good tungsten, enhances its hardness, and maintains a good shape. The following table lists the attenuation coefficient of tungsten nickel and lead to different energy photons.

As can be seen from the graph, the attenuation of the different photon energy is 10 times, the thickness of the tungsten alloy is smaller than lead shielding.
