The Density and Shielding Performance of Tungsten Nylon Shielding

If CT attenuation value and the rate is higher, The better the shielding performance of material to X-ray. As the density increase, the CT value of composite materials is also increasing. This is because the tungsten is a major component for X-ray shielding, and its content directly affects the shielding effect. The CT value of the composite material with 11.0g/cm3 density reaches 17,500, close to the CT value of the lead, it is indicating that the tungsten nylon composite material can be used as shielding for X-ray shielding. Further, the attenuation rate of tungsten nylon shielding to X-ray increases with the density. When the density reaches 11.0g/cm3, the attenuation rate is 97%, and the attenuation rate to X-ray remains stable.
