Tungsten Fishing Sinker and Ceramic Fishing Sinker

A good replacement for lead shot sinkers is ceramic sinkers. Ceramic sinkers are easy to cast and don't snag on the bottom when reeling in your line.

 Tungsten and tungsten nickel alloy fishing weights are very durable, harder than steel and 25 per cent smaller than comparable lead weights. Tungsten and tungsten nickel alloy fishing sinkers are available as barrel weights, bullet weights and ball slip shot weights. Tungsten weights are an ideal, environmentally friendly alternative to lead weights, which are toxic and increasingly being labeled an environmental hazard. They are harder than steel and extremely dense, tungsten being on average 30 percent smaller than its lead counterpart.

The sinker should be made of refractory materials at high temperature. Heavy weight should be attached to immerse the sinker by taking account of high density metal. Tungsten has an atomic weight of 183.84 and a melting point of 3,422. this make it quite suitable for making fishing sinker than ceramic which has lower melting point and less destiny.
