The researchers proposed a method for preparing a porous structure tungsten trioxide photocatalyst. They used colloidal carbon microspheres as templates to adsorb metal ions on their surfaces and surroundings, and then removed the carbon microsphere templates by high-temperature calcination to obtain WO3 with a porous structure. The preparation process is simple, the raw materials are cheap and easily available, and the cost is low. Moreover, the product has a controllable morphology, good chemical stability, easy separation, and no secondary pollution to the environment. Therefore, yellow tungsten oxide with porous structure is an ideal photocatalytic material.
