Researchers proposed a preparation method of TiO2-WO3 photocatalyst. The obtained TiO2-WO3 photocatalyst has strong visible light absorption at 400-800 nm, and has good efficiency for photocatalytic degradation of gas-phase toluene.

A Preparation Method of TiO2-WO3 Photocatalyst
Step 1: Weigh P25 and diluted nitric acid and mix them in the beaker, wherein, the concentration of dilute nitric acid is 0-20% v/v;
Step 2: Under stirring, add metered ammonium tungstate hydrate to the solution obtained in Step 1, wherein the molar ratio of titanium and tungsten is 0-5%: 1;
Step 3: Stir the above solution at room temperature for 0.5-2 h;
Step 4: Age the mixed solution obtained in Step 3 at room temperature for 15-30 h;
Step 5: Filter the powder obtained in Step 4 and wash it with deionized water several times;
Step 6: Dry the powder obtained in Step 5 at a temperature of 80-120 °C for 12-30 h;
Step 7: Calcine the precursor obtained in Step 6 at a temperature of 450-650 °C for 12-30h to obtain TiO2-WO3;
Step 8: Reduce TiO2-WO3 obtained in Step 7 at a temperature of 200-600 °C for 0.5-4h with pure hydrogen as a reducing gas (at a flow rate of 20-60 ml/min) to obtain TiO2-WO3 photocatalyst with surface oxygen vacancies.
