Preparation of WO3 Nanopowder

Weigh and dissolve a certain amount of Na2WO4·2H2O (analytical purity) in deionized water to prepare a sodium tungstate solution. The solution was heated to 70-80 °C, and 1 mL of PEG-400 was added to the solution. Add three times the amount of concentrated hydrochloric acid (analytical purity) drop by drop, and stir continuously during the dropwise. After adding a certain amount of concentrated hydrochloric acid, a light yellow suspension will be obtained. Let stand at room temperature, wash 10 times with distilled water after precipitation, then wash 3 times with absolute ethanol, and dry at 80 °C to obtain a pale yellow precursor, and then conduct heat treatment at 500 °C, 600 °C, 700 °C, and 800 °C respectively in muffle furnace for 2h to obtain WO3 nanopowder.
