Some researchers have compared the penetration properties of W, W-Ni-Fe, and W-Cu alloy shaped charge liners and found that the penetration performance of W-Cu alloys is the best. The analysis suggests that this is because Cu do not react with W and Fe to form intermetallic compounds, and the molten copper liquid can act as a lubricant at the interface between the jet and the target plate. At present, the research on tungsten and tungsten alloys used in shaped charge liners is continuing.
