With the development of science and technology, toxic organic pollutants from industrial and agricultural production seriously threaten the environment and human health. It is of great significance to seek a new and efficient environmental treatment technology. Photocatalytic technology has become a new environmental treatment technology with important application prospect because of its advantages of energy saving, high efficiency, complete pollutant degradation and no secondary pollution.
Manganese tungstate is an important functional material with wolframite structure. It has a wide application prospect in photoluminescence, optical fiber, multiferrous materials, photocatalyst, scintillator, humidity sensor and magnetic materials. Manganese dioxide is a black or brown solid. It is the most stable oxide of manganese. It often occurs in pyrolusite and manganese nodules. Manganese dioxide is mainly used to make dry batteries, such as carbon zinc batteries and alkaline batteries. It is also used as a catalyst in chemical reactions. However, the effect of using manganese dioxide as photocatalyst alone is very poor, and the corresponding degradation rate can not be obtained.
In order to overcome the shortcomings of the prior art, manganese tungstate and manganese dioxide are combined to obtain a manganese tungstate composite manganese dioxide catalyst. The process is as follows:
Add 10 g of manganese dichloride to 100 ml of water to prepare a solution, then add 8 g of potassium permanganate and 4 g of sodium tungstate to the solution, stir in a 70 ℃ water bath for 50 minutes, then add 3 g of glycine, transfer the solution to the hydrothermal reactor, react at 260 ℃, for 10 hours, filter to obtain solid, wash with distilled water for 5 times, dry at 80 ℃, then obtain a manganese tungstate composite manganese dioxide catalyst.
0.5g manganese tungstate composite manganese dioxide catalyst was added to 200ml of methylene blue waste water with a concentration of 25mg / L. under the irradiation of 120 W LED lamp, the decolorization rate was 96.1% for 100 min. after five times of catalyst separation and reuse, the decolorization rate was 94.3% for 100 min under the same conditions.
The advantages of manganese tungstate composite manganese dioxide catalyst are as follows: 1. Manganese dichloride reacts with sodium tungstate and potassium permanganate under hydrothermal conditions to form fully composite manganese tungstate and manganese dioxide composite. 2. Manganese dioxide and manganese tungstate can promote the dispersion of manganese oxides and improve the degradation rate of pollutants.
