In the traditional recovery and treatment of waste tungsten powder, the powder waste tungsten powder is first oxidized into tungsten oxide, and then tungsten oxide is dissolved by alkali to form tungstate. In this way, not only the process is complex, but also the efficiency is very low. The oxidation rate of waste tungsten powder is usually less than 50%. Unoxidized tungsten powder needs to be recycled by other methods again. At the same time, because the powder waste tungsten powder is directly treated, the dust in the environment is very large, it is difficult to collect more thoroughly, and also causes a lot of tungsten loss.
In order to improve tungsten recovery rate and production efficiency, and to solve the environmental pollution, tungsten loss and potential safety hazards caused by waste tungsten dust, some enterprises have used an efficient method to recover waste tungsten powder. The contents are as follows:
1)The mixture is obtained by mixing waste tungsten powder, coke and sodium bicarbonate, and the mass ratio of waste tungsten powder, coke and sodium bicarbonate is 100:10-20:50-75.
2)The mixture is shaped and pressed into a cylindrical mixture with a diameter of 3-5 cm and a length of 5-8 cm.
3)The obtained cylindrical mixtures are loaded into the charging pans of the hierarchical static furnace and into the preheating zone of the hierarchical static furnace.
4) The cylindrical mixture is preheated in the preheating zone of the hierarchical static furnace, and the preheating time is 1-1.5h.
5)Transfer the preheated charging tray to the reaction zone of the hierarchical static furnace to react, so that the cylindrical mixture is peeled off layer by layer into a mixture of sodium tungstate, the reaction temperature is 900-950 ℃, and the reaction time is 3-7 H.
6)The mixture of sodium tungstate, which is obtained by step 5, is dissolved in the dissolution tank and the sodium tungstate solution is obtained.
The waste tungsten powder, coke and sodium bicarbonate are mixed in the mixer according to the optimized proportion to ensure the full contact of the three materials and facilitate the full and rapid chemical reaction. The mixed waste tungsten powder is put into the pressing equipment for pressing and forming a cylindrical mixture with certain strength. The diameter is 3-5 cm and the length is 5-8 cm, which is the key to achieve high efficiency recovery. It can make the following chemical reaction proceed rapidly, thoroughly and directly into sodium tungstate by rolling layer by layer. The waste tungsten powder after pressing is put into the static furnace for preheating and sufficient chemical reaction, and the waste tungsten powder is directly and thoroughly transformed into sodium tungstate. It can be converted into sodium tungstate efficiently.
