Warm fiber can be prepared by using nano yellow tungsten oxide (WO3) as raw material, because nano grain size yellow tungsten oxide has the ability to absorb solar energy, and can convert light energy into far infrared ray, thereby improving its heat storage and warming effect and obtaining energy storage performance. Rays returning to the human body not only can play a role in heat preservation, but also deep into the subcutaneous layer, which can improve metabolism and promote blood circulation, so the fiber is good for your health.
The body emits part of the heat to the environment through radiation, convection and heat transfer. At room temperature, the probability of heat dissipation by radiation is small, so reducing the thermal conductivity of the fiber is one way to keep warm. The development of spinning fibers with coherent cavities enriches the fibers with a large amount of trapped air that is not convective, reduces heat transfer, and thus achieves a warming effect, while the fibers are both lightweight and warm. Imitation of this kind of warm fiber is required to use some special characteristics of nano yellow tungsten oxide. For instance, it has the characteristics of high hardness, strength and wear resistance, good electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, small expansion coefficient. And it is stable in the air at room temperature.
Compared with the fiber prepared by the traditional method, nano yellow tungsten oxide particle has better strength and softness, fluffy and good resilience, tearing strength has a certain decline, with anti-static and anti-EMI(Electro-Magnetic Interference). Moreover, it has good layup. And it is not easy to fade, not easy to be piled up for easy cleaning and UV resistance, giving a more comfortable feeling. Therefore, the addition of nano yellow tungsten oxide particles to the fibers provides better warmth retention.
