Recycle Tungsten Waste Water by Ion Exchange Process

In the process of producing APT, about 10% ~ 15% of tungsten enters all kinds of slag washing water and APT crystallization mother liquor, the tungsten concentration of this solution is relatively low. The sediment filtrate and discharge waste water contains WO3 about 0.1 ~ 2g/L, the exchange fluid discharged by the ion exchange contains about 0.1 ~ 0.5g/L of WO3, and the mother liquor of evaporation crystallization contains WO3 about 5 ~ 20g/L. The recovery and utilization of these tungsten containing wastewater is particularly important, and all tungsten smelting manufacturers attach great importance to it.

Domestic tungsten smelting enterprises use an ion exchange process to recover tungsten from dilute solution containing tungsten. The recovery of tungsten is effectively improved and the impurities such as arsenic, phosphorus, silicon and chlorine in the waste water containing tungsten are removed. The scheme is as follows:

The waste water containing tungsten with WO3 concentration of 1g/L is adjusted to pH value to 5, then the compressed air aeration 60min is used, and each 200m3 containing tungsten dilute solution wastewater is aerated with a fan. The air intake of each fan is 10m3/min, the aeration is completed after the filtration, and the modulation liquid is pumped into the large pore alkaline anion exchange column D201 to adsorb tungsten and exchange. The flow rate is 8m3/h. After the adsorption is completed, the tungsten of the ion exchange column is desorbed with the NaOH solution of 80g/L. After the desorption is completed, the resin in the exchange column is recycled by the sulphuric acid with a mass concentration of 130g/L, and the recovery of tungsten is 97.4%.

In this process, the exchange rate is used, the exchange flow is slowly reduced, then the flow rate is increased, and the flow rate is reduced. The flow control can prevent the phenomenon of false penetration in the process of adsorption. During the operation, the flow of the inlet and outlet of the column will be changed, and the pressure can be produced in the column, and the adsorption can not be adsorbed, and the waste water containing tungsten thin solution is straight. The technology can effectively prevent the phenomenon of non adsorption, increase the exchange capacity and increase the adsorption rate of tungsten.

After adjusting pH, using compressed air for aeration treatment, the waste water containing tungsten dilute solution can be mixed evenly, and the levitation agent in the waste water containing tungsten is volatilized from the raw material ore, especially in the slag washing water. At the same time, the impurities such as arsenic, phosphorus, silicon and chlorine can be precipitated in the waste water. Such impurities will not cause toxicity to the resin in the back, and effectively improve the utilization rate of the resin and raise the recovery rate of tungsten.
