Tungsten Tailings Recycling

The traditional tungsten tailings recovery mostly uses a mineral processing method to recycle an element in the tailings, and other valuable metals can not be recycled. In order to improve the benefit of recycling, a large mine adopts a combination of gravity separation and flotation, and a reasonable control of the pH value of the pulp. By controlling the ratio of the flotation agents at various stages, the low grade valuable elements in the tungsten tailings are recycled, and the methods of recycling the three kinds of metal elements, tin and molybdenum are mainly used. The whole process of recycling is divided into four stages.

First stage: The tungsten tailings are transported to the buffer pool, and the slurry is pulping; a pipe in the bottom of the buffer pool is joined to the shaking bed cleaning. The concentrate of the scavenging selection is the final tungsten concentrate, the tailings are classified in advance, the coarse grain products are returned to the grinding operation, and the graded qualified products enter the second stage.

Second stage: The graded qualified products are mixed two times, adding sodium carbonate 1000 ~ 1500g/t, six sodium polyphosphate 600 ~ 1200g/t, loose alcohol oil 200 ~ 700g/t, oleic acid 500 ~ 750g/t, lime 600 to 750g/t, pulp pH control in 10.5 ~ 12, coarse selection foam and coarse selected tailings, second phase separation concentrate and coarse selection tailings then discard the second stage separation concentrate into the third stage.

Third stage: The selected concentrate was made three times, adding sodium carbonate 100 ~ 800g/t, xanthate 200 ~ 750g/t, water glass 300 ~ 1300g/t, oleic acid 0 ~ 100g/t, pulp pH controlled at 8.5 to 10, and selected to get the final product molybdenum concentrate by 1~3 grade selection and 1 grade cleaning.

Fourth stage: The selected middle mine was pulping four times, the toluene arsine acid was added to 50 ~ 300g/t, the pulp pH was controlled in 7 ~ 8.5, and the secondary flotation was returned to the first grade flotation, and the tin concentrate was obtained.

Using the tailings reservoir of the tungsten mine, the grade of tungsten trioxide is 0.08%, the grade of tin is 0.2%, the grade of molybdenum is 12%, the carbonate mineral content is 9.41%, the other is a large number of silicate minerals and a few barite and apatite. After the above process, the grade of tungsten concentrate is 8%, the recycle rate is 50.2%, the grade of molybdenum concentrate is 54.5%, the recycle rate is 65%, the grade of tin concentrate is 48%, and the recycle rate is 67.4%.
