Vanadium Tungsten Copper Composite Material by High Energy Ball Milling

Studies have shown that tungsten can effectively reduce the phase transition temperature of vanadium dioxide, copper can enhance the conductivity of vanadium dioxide.
The tungsten doped vanadium dioxide powder and copper synthesis of a vanadium-tungsten-copper composite material, the use of thermal properties of the composite material resistance and magnetic mutation, can reduce the phase transition temperature of vanadium dioxide, the composite material can be weapons and equipment, industrial production and information fields have been applied. In the doping process, the smaller the tungsten powder particles, the more the quantity, the dispersion of the distribution, and the more obvious the influence on the conductivity of the material at normal temperature. Therefore, the high energy ball milling method can get the better quality powder products, and finally will have a significant effect on the physical properties of the composites, such as electrical properties and magnetic properties, that is, the phase transformation effect of the composites is improved, and the doping methods are as follows.
Weighing V0.97W0.03O2 powder and Cu powder electrolysis, in which V and Cu molar ratio of 20~50:50~80; then the powder mixed into the mill, adding to 15 times ~60 times V0.97W0.03O2 powder and Cu powder of total quality of grinding ball, mechanical mixed powder 12-72h composite powder were obtained; Then the composite powder and grinding ball were used for 72h ball milling in high energy ball mill, the speed of ball mill was 100-800r/min, and the mixed powder was sieved and pressed by cold pressing die, pressing 300KN and keeping pressure for 3-8 minutes to form composite blank. Finally, the material blank is installed in a pressurized crucible and put into a vacuum high temperature sintering furnace. The vacuum is evacuated in the furnace. When the vacuum level reaches 10-1 ~ 10-3Pa, the furnace is heated to 600~700 60-120min. After natural cooling, when the temperature of the vacuum sintering furnace is reduced to room temperature, the composite material blank is removed after recovering the air pressure in the furnace to 1 * 105Pa, and the Cu/V0.97W0.03O2 composite material is obtained after processing the rough surface.
The high energy ball milling method can make the process of preparing the vanadium dioxide tungsten copper composite material simple, the process can be controlled and the cost can be controlled, and the abrupt effect of the electrical property and the magnetic property of the functional composite material can be improved at different temperatures.
