Baotou Rare Earth Research Institute will rely on existing research resources to Wuhai Chemical Company for the industrial platform , the implementation of production and research, to build a world -class R & D center of rare earth additives , and soon will be an important research study engineering , integration and transformation, the formation of scientific research, production , marketing integrated development model. The hospital will focus on the development of rare-earth materials with strong practical chemical additives , and in order to improve the overall performance of PVC products.

Experts told reporters , rare earth heat stabilizers include light rare earth lanthanum (La), cerium (Ce), neodymium (Nd) weak organic acid and inorganic salts , they not only have a significant thermal stability, but also improve the PVC alkali corrosion products and heat aging properties. Lead-free PVC stabilizer consumption accounts for about 20 percent of the world market stabilizer , but premium unleaded stabilizers, especially high-grade PVC heat stabilizer products needed also largely dependent on imports, which is mainly due to the rare earth to help our country agent on behalf of the lower green PVC additives development and industrialization levels.
