Rare Earth Market - June 23, 2025

Rare earth market update on June 23, 2025

At the beginning of the week, the domestic rare earth market as a whole showed a relatively positive performance, with prices of many products continuing to rise to varying degrees.

For example, the price of praseodymium oxide increased by approximately 3,000 yuan/ton, the price of praseodymium-neodymium metal rose by about 7,000 yuan/ton, and the price of dysprosium oxide increased by around 10,000 yuan/ton. This is mainly attributed to the driving effect of rising overseas rare earth prices and the heightened enthusiasm of downstream users for bargain hunting. However, affected by limited working capital and a relatively loose spot market supply, the current release of actual downstream demand still appears insufficient and needs further stimulation.

In terms of news, Xiamen Tungsten Co.,Ltd. announced in a statement that the company approved its holding subsidiary Jinlong Rare Earth to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary, Baotou Jinlong. Baotou Jinlong will construct a 5,000-ton (first phase) high-performance neodymium iron boron magnetic materials project in the Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Zone, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The products will be mainly applied in modern high-end wind power generation, 3C products, energy-saving motors, energy-saving home appliances, new energy vehicles, and other fields. The project is expected to have a total investment of 462.22 million yuan.
