Tungsten Dart Billet

Tungsten is a very dense material, so darts with a considerable weight can be made slim.Billets are actually tungsten cylinder rods after surface grinding by center-less processing, and their weights are varied from different tungsten contents and rod sizes. Tungsten is used in dart production because of its high weight to volume ratio. The higher percentage of tungsten used to make a dart which is the slimmer and sleeker. Tungsten billet is the raw material of barrel which forms the main part of tungsten dart.

Nowadays, lots of people are like to buy the tungsten very much, because of there are advantage for using.

The higher the percentage, the slimmer the dart will be, resulting in increased higher scoring chances. A90 % tungsten darts will be slimmer than an 80 %.

Brass darts billet
The dart billet made by brass, this type of darts is cheap and can be a good investment when you start throwing darts. You can try out different shapes, weights and it does not cost as much as nickel and tungsten darts. It's also available in most designs torpedo, cylinder etc.

Chrome Dart Billet

Nowadays, tungsten-based billet is widely used as the standard barrel material, for it has a specific gravity of 19.3(20℃), making it a very dense material with small volume. Besides, it has superior wearing resistance. The dart billet made by tungsten, today tungsten darts is used by most professionals; the barrels have a slim design and are made for great grouping in the dartboard. When you buy a set of tungsten darts billet ,it's often 80% tungsten and up to 97% tungsten the higher the percent is the thinner the barrels are, and of course higher price.

Colours can also change with the temperature of the material due to alterations in the reflectivity of the oxides. Thermochromism is the property of substances to change colour due to a change in temperature and WO3 is an attractive example for this property. On cooling the oxide by liquid nitrogen down to -196°C, a sudden change occurs from yellow to white, which then alters to a bluishwhite colour between -50 and -27°C. At room temperature it becomes pale lemon-yellow again. On further heating to 200-300°C, WO3 becomes dark yellow, changing to a deep orange colour at 400 to 500°C. These reversible colour changes are linked to changes in the electronic properties of WO3 which alter due to changes of the internal symmetry of the WO3 crystals (through alterations of the lattice arrangements).
