Cobalt, nickel binder used for powder metallurgy sintered tungsten alloy density, known as high-density alloy, also called heavy alloy. These alloys can be forged or heat treated to increase its density and strength. The tensile strength of tungsten alloys usually σb> 981MPa, hardness> HRC40.
Thermal conductivity of tungsten alloy than that of pure tungsten is small, granular chips, knife - chip contact length is short, high cutting temperature, prone to tumors and bonding tool wear. Requirements of tungsten alloy cutting tool material thermal conductivity, bending strength and hightoughness, good red hardness. Recommended selection of fine grain tungsten carbide-based ultra-fine grain carbide, such as YDl5, YM051 and so on.
Tungsten alloy cutting tool requires sharp, but also to ensure that edge strength. Tool geometry parameters can be selected: γO =- 8 º, αO = 8 º, Κr = 75 º, rε = 0.5mm. Cutting can be used: νC = 38m/min, f = 0.24mm / r, ap = 1mm. Cutting without cutting flui
