Yellow Tungsten Oxide Electrochromic Film Applied for All-solid-state Electrochromic Window

Yellow tungsten oxide electrochromic film, also known as tungsten trioxide film, can be used to assemble an all-solid-state electrochromic window. Wherein the tungsten trioxide electrochromic thin film can be prepared by a hydrothermal method. The following are the preparation steps of the WO3∙0.33H2O film:

First, 5g of H2WO4 was added to 60mL of hydrogen peroxide, and the mixture was heated and stirred at 95°C until completely dissolved. Then, the clear solution was diluted to 200mL with deionized water to obtain a 0.1M H2WO4 solution.

The hydrothermal growth process is as follows: Prepare a reaction solution of a tungstic acid solution (0.1M, 12mL), ethylene glycol (36mL), HCl (3M, 4mL), and deionized water (12mL). And then immerse the FTO conductive glass with the WO3 seed layer in an 80mL hydrothermal kettle containing the reaction solution, and incubated at 120°C for 2h. After the reaction is completed, the mixture was naturally cooled to room temperature, and the conductive glass was taken out, washed successively with water and ethanol, and then naturally dried to obtain tungsten trioxide electrochromic film.
