Tungsten trioxide for preparing liquid electrochromic device is actually used as an electrochromic material in the form of a tungsten trioxide thin film. For example, experts assemble a liquid electrochromic device using WO3 thin film as an electrochromic layer, TiO2 thin film as an ion storage layer, and LiClO4-PC liquid electrolyte as an electrolysis layer. The basic structure of an electrochromic device with a five-layer is shown below.

So, how to assemble liquid electrochromic devices?
1.0 The electrochromic layer of tungsten trioxide film and the ion storage layer of titanium dioxide film coated on the ITO glass are combined as shown in the above figure, and the tungsten trioxide electrochromic film and the titanium dioxide film are oriented toward the inside, and the spacer is separated by a spacer, and sealed with sealant.
2.0 The liquid electrolyte LiClO4-PC solution was injected into the gap between the WO3 film and the TiO2 film by a syringe, and then completely encapsulated.
