Yellow Tungsten Oxide Powder Applied for WO3-TiO2 Electrochromic Film

Yellow tungsten oxide powder for preparation of WO3-TiO2 electrochromic film is a promising inorganic electrochromic material, which may be used for producing electrochromic windows, and finally used in the field of smart building. Wherein some experts prepared TiO2 doped WO3 electrochromic thin film by sol-gel method, and studied the visible light transmittance before and after film discoloration.

transmittance curve of WO3-TiO2 electrochromic film before discoloration picture

The transmittance curve of TiO2 doped WO3 electrochromic thin film before discoloration is as shown in the above figure, wherein the Ti concentrations of the samples a, b, c, and d are 0mol%, 15mol%, 25mol%, and 40mol%, respectively. It can be seen from the figure that as the content of TiO2 increases, the transmittance increases gradually, and the peak of the transmittance generally occurs between the wavelengths of 350-450nm.

transmittance curve of WO3-TiO2 electrochromic film after discoloration picture

The transmittance curve of TiO2 doped WO3 electrochromic thin film after discoloration is as shown in the above figure. It can be seen from the figure that as the content of TiO2 increases, the transmittance of the film increases, and the discoloration effect gradually deteriorates. When the content of TiO2 is more than 15%, the transmittance increases. And the color change effect is very poor. When the TiO2 content is more than 25%, the transmittance is similar to that before the discoloration, indicating that there is almost no electrochromic performance.
