WO3 Applied for Smart Window

In fact, as early as 2010, the experts of Nanyang Technological University have prepared block shaped tungsten trioxide nano films by hydrothermal method. Compared with the prior electrochromic materials, the electrochromic devices assembled by such a block shaped nano structure film not only have better color contrast and higher color change efficiency, but also have excellent cycle stability. Experts at Zhejiang University also obtained a tungsten trioxide nanowire array by introducing ammonium sulfate as a structure directing agent in a hydrothermal solution, which significantly reduced the coloring time and fading time.
