MoO3 Doped Yellow Tungsten Oxide Electrochromic Film

MoO3 doped yellow tungsten oxide can be used to prepare an electrochromic film. Some experts use a square wave voltage with a period of 50s×2 to drive the doped tungsten trioxide film to have an electrochromic phenomenon. The coloring voltage was -1.7V, the bleaching voltage was +1.9V, and the transmission spectrum of the visible light and its adjacent region was measured with a spectrophotometer. They found that:

The coloring state of the tungsten trioxide film doped with MoO3 2.5% is dark blue, while the tungsten trioxide film doped with MoO3 5% is gray. According to the transmission spectrum of the colored tungsten trioxide film with different MoO3 doping amount, the transmittance in the visible light region decreases with the increase of Mo content, while the transmittance in the near infrared region increases. At the same time, it is found that as the Mo content increases, the transmission peak shifts toward the long wavelength direction. The bleached state of the tungsten trioxide film doped with MoO3 is pale yellow. The amount of MoO3 doping has little effect on the bleaching state, and the transmittance in the visible light region does not change much. But, it is lower than the transmittance of the pure WO3 film bleached state we have done in the past.
