Ammonium Metatungstate Powder Applied for Transparent Thermal Insulation Material

Ammonium metatungstate powder can be used to prepare tungsten oxide nano aqueous solution, and thus be applied to the production of transparent thermal insulation material, which is energy-saving and environmentally friendly of high heat insulation performance.

The following is a new method for preparing three kinds of tungsten oxide nano aqueous solutions, and the particle size of the nano tungsten oxide in the obtained aqueous solution is different.

Method one: Take 10ml of deionized water in a beaker, weigh 1g of ammonium metatungstate into deionized water, add 5g of sodium borohydride, mix and shake, and let stand for 20min at room temperature (20°C) to obtain the tungsten oxide nano aqueous solution of a particle size of 1nm.

Method two: Take 10ml of deionized water in a large beaker, weigh 5g of ammonium metatungstate into deionized water, add 5g of sodium borohydride, mix and shake, and let stand for 10min at room temperature (20°C) to obtain the tungsten oxide nano aqueous solution of a particle size of 0.1-1nm.

Method three: Take 10ml of deionized water in a beaker, weigh 50g of ammonium metatungstate into deionized water, add 5g of sodium borohydride, mix and shake, and let stand for 60min at room temperature (20°C) until no gas is produced. So, the tungsten oxide nano aqueous solution of a particle size of 5-30nm was obtained.
