Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China tungsten price was weak in early May with the impact of the decline in new guide prices for this month.

Zhangyuan Tungsten’s long-term contract prices for early this month were: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) was $18,145.2/ton, down $725.8/ton; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) was $17,903.2/ton, down $18,145.2/ton; APT was $320.8/mtu, down $9.1/mtu compared with the second half of April.

Looking ahead, due to the impact of the epidemic on the global supply chain, the global inflation risk is still at a high level under the background of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The external environment faced by the tungsten market is uncertain, and the cost side is expected to support the bottom of the tungsten price, even though the recovery of supply and demand fundamentals remains to be seen.

In the short term, we will pay attention to the domestic epidemic prevention and control and the recovery of the industrial economy, as well as information on the consumption of the tungsten products industry.
