China’s Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) Raised Average Tungsten Forecast Prices for April

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

The new round of tungsten guide prices for the first half of April were raised slightly compared with last month despite of continued quiet demand, which shored up market confidence to some extent. 

China’s Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) released its average tungsten forecast prices for April: 55% black tungsten concentrate price was $19,032.3/ton, up $483.9/ton; ammonium paratungstate (APT) price was $331.7/mtu, up $7.3/mtu; medium particle tungsten powder price was $45.5/kg, up $0.6/kg compared with March. 

Xiamen Tungsten’s APT bid price for the first half of April was $330.8/mtu, an increase of $3.6/mtu from the second half of March. 

Jiangxi Tungsten quoted high grade black tungsten concentrate at $19,435.5/ton, up $161.3/ton from the second half of last month. 

Zhangyuan Tungsten’s long-term contract prices for the early April were: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) was $19,032.3/ton, up $241.9/ton; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) was $18,790.3/ton, up $241.9/ton; APT was $331.7/mtu, up $2.7/mtu from late March.
