White Cliff onto Lithium and Rare Earth Quest in Western Australia

White Cliff Minerals Lt has initiated its first lithium and rare earth exploration campaign at its Yinnetharra project, located approximately 100 kilometers northeast of Gascoyne Junction, Western Australia. The helicopter-supported field campaign is part of the company's plan to aggressively advance its recently developed battery metals portfolio, which could grow to include nearly a dozen projects.

The junior exploration company said it will accelerate exploration work at Yinnetharra, in line with work at its Reedy South gold project near Meekatharra. The company, which only recently picked up the Yinnetharra site, has acquired a suite of highly prospective lithium and rare earth projects across Western Australia.

The Yinnetharra project consists of six land applications covering nearly 580 square kilometers of land near Carnarvon. The parcel is located in the Gascoyne Lithium District and appears to be in a prime location approximately 85 kilometers south of Hastings Technology Metals' Tier 1 Yangibana Rare Earth Project.

According to White Cliff, the Yinnetharra project will be held by its wholly owned subsidiary, Electrification Metals. As we said we would move quickly to the site, the company is looking forward to conducting a field visit to the Yinnetharra project area using a helicopter, and during this reconnaissance program we have identified initial target areas across the mine. This program will also help provide logistics for the follow-on exploration program planned for early in the New Year.

Historical exploration on the project uncovered a handful of lithium-bearing pegmatites at nearby Thirty Three Supersuite - a massive granitic unit running northwest to southeast along the Ti Tree shear zone that has been found to host a series of rare earth-bearing pegmatites at its base.

ASX-listed Arrow Minerals previously found grades of up to 4% lithium oxide in rock chip sampling at its Malinda project, approximately 10 km northwest of Yinnetharra.

Similarly, a previous Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA) rock chip sampling program brought strong cerium levels up to 332 parts per million. interestingly, Geoscience Australia considers cerium to be one of the most abundant rare earth elements.

In addition to the battery metal development, White Cliff is also looking to advance its Reedy South gold project, located approximately 40 kilometers north of Cue in Murchison Goldfields, Western Australia. The company's previous soil sampling on the project produced anomalous results, including gold values as high as 137 ppm after several hundred soil samples were taken around the Reedy South landholdings.

The company previously filed a preliminary inferred and indicated mineral resource statement for Reedy South, providing a resource estimate of approximately 779,000 tonnes at 1.7 grams per tonne containing 42,400 ounces of gold.

White Cliff may be gearing up for a lot of activity in 2022 as the company makes good on its plans to aggressively move forward with new battery metal land acquisitions. With lithium prices steadily rising and the gold market firming, the company could be one to watch in the new year.

White Cliff Minerals Limited is a mineral exploration company trading on the Australian Securities Exchange. The Company is currently focusing its exploration on the Reedy South Gold Project near the Cue mining centre in WA, and is pursuing a dual strategy to advance its prospective gold and nickel-cobalt projects in WA.
