China Tungsten Market Will Benefit From Environmental Protection Check in 2019

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

In 2019, a new round of environmental protection check will be fully launched. It is planned to take another four years: the first three years are regular inspections and the last year will be focus on the "look back" works, according to Minister Li Ganjie. 

China tungsten market will benefit from the checks in the long run, especially for raw material manufacturers. But fluctuations in the macroeconomic situation and the reduction of production at downstream factories will also have an impact on market demand. 

At present, market prices continue to maintain stability with the approaching of the Spring Festival. The supply of raw materials is tight, raising seller’ rised mentality, so tungsten concentrate prices keep firm, but limited by thin market trading.

In the ammonium metatungstate (APT) market, smelting factories control their production and thus deadlocked supply and demand eases slightly. Factories now have little pressure of stocks. For tungsten powder market, companies are difficult in sales and are not optimistic about the outlook. Before the holiday, prices will stabilize.
