Europium Oxide Price - August 26, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: the europium oxide, neodymium oxide and dysprosium oxide prices decline slightly due to heavy wait-and-see atmosphere in the market. 

On the one hand, supported by factors such as clear purchasing and storage expectations, a light increase in the listing prices of South and North Rare Earths companies and limited spot resources, holders are not motivated to actively ship goods and have a strong mentality to make substantial profits, so the quotes are firm; On the other hand, in addition to other countries that are still affected by the coronavirus and geopolitical chaos, which makes it difficult for the export market to recover, downstream magnetic materials companies have basically completed their procurement plans in the previous stage, which is also the reason for the current reduction in demand. The whole market activity still needs to be improved.

In the terms of news: Northern Rare Earth released the 2020 semi-annual report on August 24. The report shows that in the first half of 2020, the operating income was 9.611 billion yuan, an increase of 12.81% year-on-year; the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 328 million yuan, an increase of 23.36% year-on-year.
