China Praseodymium Oxide Prices - Apr. 28, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: the latest of neodymium oxide, dysprosium oxide and praseodymium oxide prices continue to maintain stability under the mixed factors. Upstream manufacturers keep firm offers while downstream buyers' demand needs to be followed. 

In the light rare earth market, the prices of praseodymium and neodymium products have increased slightly. With the gradual improvement of overseas epidemics, manufacturing companies in most countries are preparing to resume production. Downstream demand in May is expected to pick up, which has boosted market confidence. And sellers now have strong rised mentality. For medium and heavy rare earth market, the fundamentals have not changed much. As there is no major signal released on the news side, the supply and demand sides maintain rigid transactions, and product prices are adjusted slightly.

In terms of news, the total import of mixed rare earth carbonate was 586 tons in March 2020, which saw a month-on-month increase. Among them, the import from Myanmar was 565 tons, an increase of 81% month-on-month; the average import price was $3241/ton, an increase of 11% month-on-month. In March 2020, the total import of rare earth metal mines was 7,427 tons, which was a decrease from the previous month. Among them, U.S. imports were 7,352 tons, down 6.5% month-on-month; the average import price was $1,400/ton, up 7.13% month-on-month.
