Tungsten market in China is flat. Excepting that a Fujian tungsten enterprise listed a slightly modified price for long term order, the overall upstream and downstream enterprises of industry chain were at a stalemate. Without positive guidance, prices mainly continued a consolidation pattern.

This week, the domestic rare earth prices overall sustained steady growth. Particularly, rare earth varieties represented by praseodymium and neodymium, continued to rise. 

Yesterday, the stable operation of domestic tungsten market sustained. Under the influence of fundamental plane, merchants with goods mainly insist on a conservative selling way and purchasers are cautious when purchasing.

The prices of domestic rare earth are relatively stable. Under the influence of tight rare earth supply and steady growth of downstream demand, the bottom prices rebound in the first half of this year according to industry data.

Rare earth material prices continue to increase, and the reasons are that the market supply is tight and downstream enterprise procurement of material is difficult. Besides Pr and Nd, the price of cerium oxide also slightly increased by the support of tight supply. The rare earth market sustaining steady growth, but there is still has a risk in high price.

Recently, under the influence of constant tight supply of raw materials in the end, the domestic tungsten market began to appear rebound potential. Although the outlook of consumer demands is brisk influenced by the off-season effect, there is still a chance to a price rise, as miners insist on a conservative way in selling goods.

Yesterday, a Fujian tungsten enterprise listed the second price for long term order in this month. The price is RMB 125,000/ton, increasing RMB 500/ton compared with the former, but still it is slightly lower RMB 2,000/ton than the market.

Last week, under the influence of predicted average price that Ganzhou Tungsten Association offered and large tungsten enterprises’ first round of guided prices, domestic tungsten market kept the rational operation.

Prices of praseodymium neodymium rare earth products continued to be strong, dysprosium oxide price has a slight adjustment as well, and other varieties of rare earth mainly maintained stability.
