The McTung Project is the largest tungsten resource project in Canada and one of the top 10 tungsten mine projects outside China. It is an open-pit tungsten mine located in the Selwyn Mountains of eastern Yukon, Canada, on its border with the Northwest Territories, about 390km northeast of Whitehorse and about 790km west-northwest. It belongs to the skarn scheelite deposit with a large scale and high grade. The mine is one of the largest tungsten ore known but undeveloped in the world.

The Nui Phao Tungsten Polymetallic Mine is located in Dai Tu District of the Thai Nguyen Province in Vietnam, approximately 80km northwest of Hanoi by road. It is the largest tungsten mine in Vietnam and one of the top 10 tungsten mine projects outside China. The mine site is spread over an area of 9.21km2, accessible by road and adjacent to a narrow-gauge railway that connects to the Vinarail railway system.

The Sisson Tungsten-Molybdenum Project is an open-pit mine, located in central New Brunswick, Canada, on the Crown land about 100 kilometers northwest of Fredericton, covering an area of more than 18,880 hectares. It is an open-pit mining project and one of the top ten tungsten mine projects outside China. Northcliff Resources and Todd Minerals are jointly developing the project under a partnership called Sisson Project Limited Partnership.

The Bakuta Tungsten Mine (Boguty) is located in the east of Almaty central city in Kazakhstan, 150 km away from Horgos Port of China's largest port in Xinjiang. The mine is a world-class super large opencast mine and one of the top ten tungsten mine projects outside China. It was developed by former Soviet experts in the late 1960s. The discovered and proven reserves are about 270,000 tons.

To recycle lithium-ion batteries, Australian lithium company Neometals (ASX: NMT) has entered a binding deal with German metallurgical equipment supplier SMS Group GmbH to establish a joint venture. The joint venture, called Primobius GmbH, will use the company recycling technology to recover lithium, nickel, cobalt, and other materials from waste electric vehicles and consumer electronics.

Lake Resources NL has appointed Colorado-based independent assay laboratory Hazen Research Inc to produce larger samples of battery-quality lithium carbonate for supply to potential off-takers and other interested parties. This will be done using the efficient, disruptive clean technology developed by Lake's technology partner Lilac Solutions for brine from the company's flagship Kachi project in Argentina.
