Manufacturing Method of Tungsten-yttrium Electrode

The invention discloses a method for producing a tungsten-yttrium electrode, which comprises: a. yttrium nitrate water solution is evenly mixed with a solid material containing ammonium paratungstate(APT) or tungsten trioxide(WO3) in the mode of spray mixing, and heated and dried to prepare tungsten-yttrium coating powder; b. the prepared tungsten-yttrium coating powder is reduced twice to obtaintungsten-yttrium powder, and the tungsten-yttrium powder is pressed and sintered to obtain a tungsten-yttrium cored bar; and c. by adopting the pressure processing forging method, the prepared tungsten-yttrium cored bar is made into the tungsten-yttrium electrode. In the method, the yttrium nitrate water solution is evenly mixed with the solid material containing the ammonium paratungstate(APT) or the tungsten trioxide(WO3) in the mode of spray mixing; due to the spraying mode, the yttrium nitrate water solution coats the surface of the ammonium paratungstate(APT) or the tungsten trioxide(WO3), so the mixing, stirring and drying of the yttrium nitrate water solution and the solid material are completed together, thereby achieving the aim of preparing the even tungsten-yttrium coating powder, improving the production capability, making the coating powder more even and effectively improving the performance of the tungsten-yttrium electrode in welding.
