Cs0.32WO3, or cesium tungsten bronze, is mainly applied for preparing near-infrared shielding material such as thermal insulation coating or heat insulation film. And these transparent near-infrared shielding materials are popular in energy saving reconstruction of building. According to the experts, the Cs0.32WO3 nano particles can be fabricated by a simple one-step solvothermal route.

Furthermore, the cesium tungsten bronze nano particles can be well dispersed in the aqueous solution. And then, Cs0.32WO3 dispersion can be used to prepare heat insulating coating. Finally, the prepared coating can be used to coat on the glass substrate to obtain a thin film. Simulated solar irradiation experiments revealed that the as-prepared film cut off over about 91.6% of radiation. The simulated model of the real environment revealed that compared with the ordinary glass and commercial Cs0.32WO3, the as-prepared Cs0.32WO3 film showed superior NIR shielding performance for practical application.
