Well, how to prepare cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles? Hexagonal Cs0.32WO3 nanoparticles with high crystallinity can be synthesized by a flame-assisted spray pyrolysis (FASP) followed by annealing under a reducing gas atmosphere (5% H2/Ar). The as-synthesized nanoparticles from FASP indicated multiple phases of hexagonal Cs0.32WO3 and cubic phase. However, after annealing at 650 °C for 1 h under a reducing gas atmosphere, the crystal structure of the Cs0.32WO3 nanoparticles changed completely to a single hexagonal Cs0.32WO3 phase. To characterize their optical performance, the as-synthesized Cs0.32WO3 nanoparticles were dispersed in methyl isobutyl ketone at a concentration of 0.02 wt%. And it was found that the Cs0.32WO3 nanoparticles prepared showed a remarkable near-infrared shielding ability with a 97.7% cut-off at 1500 nm.
