Porous Tungsten Oxide Film

Porous tungsten oxide film is a transparent heat insulating film with superior electrochromic properties than the conventional dense tungsten oxide film. And its possibility of being applied to electrochromic glass is often studied. While you should prepare the object of study firstly. So, how to prepare such a tungsten trioxide heat-insulating film?

Some experts use metal W powder as raw material, and add a certain amount of ethanol, glacial acetic acid and excess hydrogen peroxide to prepare a stable WO3 sol. The reaction synthesis temperature should be kept to 0 °C. The polystyrene microspheres were dissolved in ethanol at a mass ratio of 10%, and ultrasonically coated for 1 hour, and then spin-coated onto the ITO glass. After the ethanol was volatilized, a polystyrene template was prepared. The WO3 sol is spin-coated onto the polystyrene template, and a porous tungsten oxide film can be prepared by heating at different temperatures.
