Tungsten Trioxide Applied for Car Window

Tungsten trioxide can be applied to car window in the form of electrochromic glasses, that is, smart windows. On these electrochromic glasses, tungsten trioxide nano powder acts as a cathode coloring material. In April 2014, the first National Electrochromic Conference was held, indicating that research in the field of electrochromism in China has begun to heat up. In 1986, Nissan's T.Kase applied electrochromic technology to automotive windows for the first time. In 2002, Germany developed conductive polymer electrochromic materials for automotive windows and thus applying in Mercedes-Benz luxury cars. In January 2005, Ferrari's new "Superamerica" roadster used electrochromic technology for its windshield and ceiling glass. Nowadays, tungsten trioxide nanoparticles are often used as an electrochromic material to realize the electrochromic performance of the automobile window glass, that is, the function of heat insulation and temperature reduction.
