At present, in the preparation of tungsten trioxide electrochromic film by sol-gel method, the metal tungsten powder is often used as a raw material. For example, an expert adopted the sol-gel method to produce tungsten trioxide film by dissolving metal tungsten powder in H2O2 and using glacial acetic acid as a pH adjuster. And then it is assembled with a NiO electrode into a complementary electrochromic device. Experts say that it is easier and more convenient to prepare an electrochromic film by sol-gel method than hydrothermal method. However, in the process of preparing the tungsten trioxide film by the sol-gel method, it is often necessary to control the morphology of the tungsten trioxide electrochromic layer by means of a template to obtain a high-performance electrochromic film. Besides, the poor adhesion of the prepared film results in poor cycle stability.
